Hailing from Crescent Head on the Mid north coast of NSW, The Roys are known as one of the most fun, energetic cover bands in the region.
First formed in 1994, the band has undergone several incarnations - but through every stage over the years, their first class musicianship and consistency in performance have ensured they remain crowd favourites.
The Roys most common compliment is that they play an amazing variety of music with two vocalists providing tight harmonies as a feature. Classic alternate Australian artists such as Things of Stone and Wood, Weddings Parties Anything, Hoodoo Gurus, The Church and Paul Kelly heavily influence The Roys, but their set-lists also include a collection of classics, from classic Rock'n'Roll to more recent popular songs with a few surprises thrown in.
With their motto being "play what the audience wants to hear", The Roys are regularly booked for a variety of gigs, ranging from 18ths to weddings to 60ths. And at every event, The Roys will have just about everyone on the dance floor by the end of the night, no matter what shoes they are wearing!
